April 5, 2022 Updates
I hope everyone has stayed as healthy as possible over these past two years during these trying times. We have certainly missed seeing all your smiling faces. As I am sure you are aware we were able to start up two sports over the winter; bowling and swimming. Swimming is now completed and bowling is ending soon. We were so happy to have these sports available. I would like to take this opportunity to thank April Coombs, Carole Walli, Linda Wilkie and all the volunteers who assisted with our ability to run these two sports. Although we were sad we could not add in basketball or floor hockey we are hoping to add those in for the 2022/2023 season. Fingers crossed!! We know COVID has not ended and are still taking our direction from Special Olympics Ontario. They have recently indicated we can start planning for the spring/summer season. We will be meeting to discuss what sports we will be able to start in May/June. The following sports are under consideration:
Soccer (At our new location at Kitchener Park)
Track & Field
T Ball ??
When we have more information and details we will be posting it here, on Facebook and Instagram. We will also be looking to hold an AGM with members so we can update our Community Council and offer opportunities for others to join our Council.
